FATIMA’S DISGUISE

Hey yeah! Before you (dear readers) and I get in a fight, those are SEA STARS Digby is holding, commonly known as starfish. These echinoderms are NOT fish in any sense of the word so why should we continue to call them as such? I’m not yelling at you, I’m yelling your words! :)

The comic convention MoCCA was so crazy amazing last weekend, I’m posting pictures of that soon (including ones of enthusiastic readers I met!) as well as my favorite new comics! I totally sold out of all three books I brought, or as I like to call it: NOT PRINTING ENOUGH COMICS. If you missed snagging a copy of Mermaid Hostel or either of my menstruation comics, by all means e-mail me.

It was a 1-2-3-4 punch type of week, thank you for hanging in there with me. First, MoCCA—then editors/publishers/comic critics came to CCS on Tuesday—a MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000 Super Friends Club Drink and Draw on Wednesday (everyone is welcome, every week)—then taxes were due on Thursday! This little lady had never done state taxes before, I’m from Texas and we just pay for everything in chicken gravy. It gets rather messy. But I have the best fans, everyone knows that!

There is an ezine called BODYTALK put together by some friends at the University of Missouri. Joseph Beeman asked me to join so I have two pages in the Women’s Issue and this month’s QUEER Issue! Please enjoy and check out the submission guidelines.

Later, merfans!

Jen

SEA STARS!! I love SEA STARS!! Gee Jen, don’t you love the name SEA STARS?! Isn’t it so much better than STAR FISH?? Totally lame…

Like Trees…Sea Stars = a distant evolutionary cousin of us humans! (Still watching WAY too much of Carl Sagan’s Cosmos!) Once again, I love your ink washes.
