Disguise Dump

Yo yo yo!

It is SO about time we returned to the Shellington Hostel instead of the ship just attached to it. Recently, I had a great critique with my fellow graduate students at the Center for Cartoon Studies and professor/comics whiz Jason Lutes. Expect to see some changes (as simple as the banner) over the next month or so but worry not, no one will be killed off. Yet. Wink.

At the moment, I’m banging out the SXSW InteractiviZINE and prepping my screens to print the covers! Thank you to those of you who have patiently waited and the many people who spoke to me at MoCCA (full set of pictures after the jump) about it! My thesis package for the Center for Cartoon Studies is due MAY THIRD and I am so close to being done. MANY thanks to the people who give me encouraging words like Matthew Murray of 365 Zines and the Beat. Murray is reviewing a ZINE a DAY for a YEAR and is currently on a cat comic roll! Also, thank you to Katie Skelly of Nurse Nurse and the impeccable Rebecca Woods, two friends so new they still smell like new car!

BACK TO WORK! Keep on reading and loving, friends. Encouraging words and luck may be posted in the comments section below as I sweat out screen printing, book editing and book building.

<3, Jen

    Yay, hand lettering!

Aww, no need to send a letter, Darryl! Don’t I owe you one already?!

Yes, Dennis, I need to hand-letter more. All the time!
