Happy Christmas to all!!! My gift to you (and myself) is a guest strip by Alex Wendzel of the hilarious Out at Home webcomic. Out at Home is a snarky, slice-of-life strip following a former baseball star and his tumultuous family life. Honestly, I wanted to save this strip until the end of January, you know, so I’d actually have ten of my own strips up but I think everyone should see how amazing Alex is at picking up the characters after reading SEVEN strips. If my recommendation isn’t enough to make you look at his work, then this strip should do it!
Also, thanks to Megan Rose Gedris for the recent shout-out. I found her comics online and holy labia, are they beautiful beyond words! YU+ME is a long-form story about a girl looking for the gal of her dreams in her dreams. Gedris’ style changes throughout as the narrative passes from consciousness to dreams—you gotta read it. Also, she makes a comic about Lesbian Pirates from Outer Space!!!! What else do you want?

Just found this comic through, well, Out At Home, and I’m in love. After seven strips, I already love your artwork, your characters, your concept (seriously, a mermaid hostel, that’s just frikkin’ cool like that).
